Subject: Swimming Club private policy on items lost on club property.

Dear Ms. Bautista:

We are deeply sorry for the loss of your contact lenses and we would love to be able to help. We understand that losing any item can be a burden, especially if it is something as expensive as 75$ and is used daily. However, it is our deepest regrets to inform you that we are unable to pay for the cost of the missing contact lenses.

As stated in our, “Engineering Pool Club Membership Rules”, under Rule 3 it explicitly states that, “ The Club is not responsible for any lost or stolen items on Club property such as the parking lot, the pool or anywhere in the main building. As a result, a locker is provided to each member to safeguard their personal belongings.” Therefore we apologize for the inconvenience but we will not be able to supply you with the 75$ you requested.

However, our maintenance team cleans the pool every 2 days and place any missing items in our lost and found located behind the receptionist. We will be looking for your contact lenses there but we would also like to encourage you to pass by the lost and found on your next visit.
